EA reports any realization connector to an element as an interface. The target element type has to be an interface. This is not checked.

E.g. a class with 2 requirements. "Ctrl-I" shows the requirements as implemented interfaces.

EA version: v12.1 b1230

I tried it but it is not in the custom properties.

Any suggestions? As far as I can see the class "property" storage is totally undocumented. Strange though because properties, setters and getters are an important part of OO design.

Thanks qwerty,

I believe you use direct sql access on t_xref.
Do you know how to access this field through the automation COM interface?

Where can I find the EA.Attribute "property" setting?

In the attribute's "Modify property implementation" dialog an attribute can be set as property and creating 2 methods at the same time. After this i can't find any change in the attribute. Where is it stored?

General Board / Re: Inheritance in a custom Code Template

The syntax of PLC programs is indeed very different from the OO languages that are defined with EA. But with some tricks a method of code generation can be defined.

I think I see light at the end of the tunnel.  ;D

Thankx for helping me out.

I see what you mean.

Does the attributesEx collection also contain the linked attributes? If not, where can I find those?

Maybe the easiest way for me is to do the whole code generation in a special add-in? With the classGuid i can obtain all the information I need to build and return the class definition as one long string.

I am working on a custom code template to create class definitions in IEC61131-3 (PLC code).
This language does not offer inheritance so I have to define all inherited attributes and operations in the class definition.

How can I do this? How can I get the template to process all inherited Attributes and Operations? ???

Uml Process / Re: Attribute as reference and multiplicity

Personally I agree with Simon that it means a collection of pointers. The datatype is basically a pointer, with multiplicity as an additional specification.

But how would I specify a reference to an array in EA?

If an attribute of a class is defined as "By Reference" and it has a multiplicity, how should it be implemented?

Is it an array of pointers or is it a pointer to an array?

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Code generator addin
« on: November 23, 2006, 05:05:30 am »
I developed a code generator addin for the PLC language IEC61131-3.

My addin works fine but I can't find the answers to some questions:

Where can I set the extension of the source files that are created? All files have the extension ".h" from Java although I set the default language to my new language.

Where can I find the Multiplicity in a connector's end?

What is the functional difference between an ElementId and an ElementGuid?
