General Board / BUG:  Metrics report
« on: September 13, 2007, 08:22:09 am »
I've added an Environmental Complexity Factor because we have an offshore development team.  EFC09 does not print on the metrics report, but the UEV is correct.

General Board / Another potential request...
« on: July 01, 2002, 07:42:11 am »
As if I haven't already thrown enough your way :)

Would it be possible to have logging added - showing changes to the project - ie dependency added, requirement deleted, etc?  Or have I just missed how to do this?

Tanks

General Board / Base packages...
« on: July 01, 2002, 07:35:24 am »
OK - here's what I'm trying to do.  I would like to create a base project that has packages in it for MFC, ATL, etc.  I would then use this base to create my new projects - so I can show inheritance from CObject, for example.  The problem that I am running into is how would I propogate changes in the base packages to the existing projects without losing the current info in the new project?

Package import/export doesn't do it - I end up with a new package of the same name, that I have to manually make the changes in the new project.
Replication is 2 way - Data from the new projects is inserted back into the base project, which I then have to manually delete.

Is there some way to have one-way replication only?

General Board / C++ extensions for directory import

Is it possible to have EA import directories using an alternate C++ header extension?  Boost for example, uses hpp for their header files.

General Board / Components and Interfaces
« on: March 13, 2002, 11:08:54 am »
Ok - I'm missing something here.  I have an interface modeled within a package.  If I go to Component View and create a component to implement the interface - how do I show this relationship?

General Board / Stupid question time...

1 - How do I model the relationship between a component and the classes within that component?  Is this an association or dependency?

2 - How do I model the relationship between a node and the components hosted on that node?  From everything I read - you just overlay the component on the node in the diagram; but that's just a visual representation.  There is nothing else there to say "this component resides on that node."

General Board / Requested Feature

Is there a planned SDK or published API that we could access to create custom imports?  For example - you import C++, VB ( :P ;) ). etc.  If I wanted to generate an importer for Eiffel or Smalltalk, could I do this?
