Bugs and Issues / Unexpected close of EA
« on: May 19, 2015, 02:52:21 am »
We got massive problem with unexpected closing of EA. Sometimes once a day, but in the same time on particular computer, sometimes twice a day - every time without any logs about error.

I found that McAfee antivirus software triggers that issue: I've created own Job in McAfee Scheduler with only one task - "Scan running processes" and after running it by hand EA has closed.

I'll place a service call in my internal IT Support - probably they can get McAfee support, but also I'm letting you know about the issue.

Bugs and Issues / BSOD in EA

Windows 7 patch KB2993651 causes Blue Screen of Death in Enterprise Architect 9.3 when user is trying to open some kind of diagrams.

Windows patch modified win32k library - when Enterprise Architect is trying to use NtGdiGetPath method from that library system crashes.

The problem does not occur in Windows 8.

Uml Process / How to link existing elements to new UML Profile
« on: June 19, 2015, 12:18:47 am »
Hi

I have got model done by others. They used their own UML Profile to create elements (ActionPin) with Tagged Values. I have created my own UML Profile with the same name of stereotype with new set of avaliable Values in Taggged Values and I would like to connect old ActionPins do my UML Profile. Where is stored the connection?

I tried to update them GUID in t_xref.decription
"@STEREO;Name=COSMICPin;GUID={81973DC2-CF58-4ff9-8E96-B2B6804B86A5};FQName=CosmicPin::COSMICPin;@ENDSTEREO;"
The GUID is from  Select ea_guid from t_stereotypes where stereotype=’COSMICPin’ and appliesto=’ActionPin’ where is storred information about my UML Profile, but it is not enough.

I even tried to update them t_objectproperties SET notes = 'Values:new,list,of,values', but in EA I still see old values.

New elements has proper Tagged Values - the look the same in t_object, they has the same type and stereotype like the old ones but they dont even work the same.
