We make changes to the underlying repository using (say SQL) and then reload the current package.  It doesn't seem to load the sub-packages
For the sake of testing, you may want to just add/delete an element (through SQL) then reload.
, possibly because the "package changed" marker isn't set (such as through the UI - and possibly the API)
When the reload command is issued, it doesn't need to bother about the 'dirty' check.

"Reload Current Package" = "Reload Current Branch"
This can be checked by opening a model using two instances of EA and make changes to the sub-packages using one instance then reload the top level package in the other.

Alt-Enter and Enter don't seem to make a difference when an element is selected (both open the properties)
[Alt+Enter] brings up the properties dialog of the element in context. For instance, you can select a test on the Testing window then do [Alt+Enter].

Changing the type is not possible. You may want to submit a bug report.

Bugs and Issues / Re: Exporting GAP Analysis Issues
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:42:52 am »
I was only able to transfer of the GAP analysis Profile names, but not the actual notes for this Gap Analysis Matrix.
Before exporting, make sure that you do Options | Update Current Profile on the GAP window.

I am not able to get the content of my gap analysis when I am exporting a package and importing it is a different project.
That is because the content of GAP is not part of any package.

For adding memo type tags in the csv specification, select
Add Tagged Value Field --> Notes

Create another diagram and change its version. Then drag the element on to it.

After the import, run this to see if you find anything interesting..
Code: [Select]
select * from t_objectproperties where ea_guid='{58283AD4-4F46-4c42-82E3-6C8D880AC27C}'

You need to supply a path for each child package by double-clicking on the package name in the list. See Generate XSD for Child packages on this page.

That can't do round tripping.
If your purpose is just to copy (export) to other models, you should be using XMI export dialog.
Publish | Model Exchange | Export XMI

Which dialog are you using to export/import?
Which XML format are you using to export/import?

All types of repositories (eap, DB and cloud) are stored here.

General Board / Re: Glossary Export?
« on: February 28, 2017, 01:08:42 pm »
Yes there is but looks like it doesn't work properly. It's losing the first (Term) column in the target text editor.
This problem has been already reported to sparx support.

Just for (future) reference:
Open the Glossary window (ALT+2)
Select all the glossary rows then do CTRL+C
Open a text editor and do CTRL+V
