General Board / Model Views Font Size?
« on: August 29, 2014, 01:21:39 pm »
Just started using the new model view artifacts in V11 but I find I can't seem to fix the font size and it varies depending on the zoom. I've also found that what I see on the screen isn't the same as what gets printed. i.e. If I have a list of elements say 1-20 showing when I print out it shows 1-18 or something less.
Has anyone else experienced the same sort of issues?

General Board / Script Table
« on: May 21, 2014, 11:51:33 am »
We have a central repository (oracle) with lots of vb and javascripts by various authors and I need to create a report that identifies the author so we can start managing migration.
When I looked in the t_script table I found a column called ScriptAuthor that has GUID's in it like {5E08D22F-FBF6-4a91-95FE-3C93713AF09F}. Can any one point me to what the GUID's reference in the from the column ScriptAuthor in t_script table.

General Board / Business Decision Impact Analysis
« on: April 03, 2014, 08:23:18 am »
Looking at the V11 RC1 page in the diagramming section I noticed a diagram called "Business Decision Impact Analysis". I've downloaded V11 RC1 and searched through the help and diagram types but can't see any reference to it. Does any one know anything about it?

General Board / Presentation from Enterprise Architect
« on: September 16, 2010, 11:48:59 am »
A while ago I saw a demo of a new feature that allowed diagrams to be presented full screen from within Enterprise Architect in a particular order. Kind of like a powerpoint presentation capability. I think it was somewhere between V7.0 and V8.0 but for the life of me I can't remember the name of that feature and thus can't find information about how to use it. Anyone care to help an old dog to remember what that feature was called?

Bugs and Issues / Sparx EA and Windows 10
« on: August 17, 2015, 11:00:30 am »
Just been trying out Sparx EA(Buid 1215) on Windows 10 Home Edition.  In a particular model (.eap file) I've found I can reliably crash Sparx EA when clicking on certain packages (yet not all packages). Tried doing the same thing with the same model on Win 7 Pro without any crashes.
Anyone else tried Win 10 and had similar problems?

Bugs and Issues / EA V8.0 - Doc Generation
« on: April 16, 2010, 01:45:06 pm »
Version 8.0 is now out and so I've just tried it on a copy of a production model. An EAP file.

Is there anyone out there who is experiencing doc generation issues with EA V8.0?
From the same EA model I've generated two RTF documents using V7.5 with V8.0 and then comparing them. I've generated these documents using the master/model document method and I'm experiencing the following issues;
  • diagrams missing
  • sections missing
  • Inconsistent indentation
  • Inconsistent justification
I'm in the process of investigating further but I'd be interested to know whether its just me. :'(

Automation Interface, Add-Ins and Tools / Setting Swimlane Orientation
« on: January 27, 2015, 10:48:37 am »
I'm writing a jscript to automatically create diagrams for a number of objects in a package. In the diagram I need some horizontal swim lanes. I've managed to create the diagrams and the swim lanes but having trouble setting the orientation to horizontal. By default its vertical.
Does anyone have any advice on setting the orientation of swim lanes in a diagram.
Here is a snippet of code of what I've got so far

Code: [Select]
...
      var motivationDiagram as EA.Diagram;
      motivationDiagram = theElement.Diagrams.AddNew( "Motivation (Who, Why & What)", "Motivation Diagram" );
      var swimlane as EA.Diagram.Swimlane;
      swimlane = motivationDiagram.SwimlaneDef.Swimlanes.Add("Stakeholders", 200);
      swimlane.Orientation=1;
      motivationDiagram.Update();
...

[/color]
I've tried strings like "Horizontal" and numbers like 0 and 1 but get object doesn't support this property. What I'm I doing wrong?
