Bugs and Issues / Re: EA14: Font sizes - random ... ?
« on: Today at 04:31:26 pm »
Place the image on a public server to host the image and use the link. But moreover: what are the steps to create the elements?

How about EA's DDL script?

And (IIRC) there's an add-in called DBMode which is probably worth a look.

Nice name xD

Just create this SQL search:
Code: [Select]
select Diagram_Type, count(*)  from t_diagram group by Diagram_Type

General Board / Re: Changes in XSD export with EA 14?

EA has build-in scripting capabilities for JScript (or how that Java stuff is called) and VB (or how this variant is ever called correctly). You can further use any programming language you like and talk to EA via its API. You can click through EA's help for an API reference or (shameless self plug) refer to my Scripting book.

What you'd do (and I did that for a customer) is to get the focused XSD root and traverse its connections down your own rules. You can evaluate tagged values at your wish. Since XSD has no defined mapping to UML you need to setup some rules for that anyway (there are a couple of papers about UML-XSD mapping out there). Further to exporting XSD I also wrote an importer that could synch with the previously imported model.

I think the problem is buried in the 14. Bug report is my suggestion.

There is no GUI to change the language. It's something in EA's program folder responsible for it. So you're probably out of luck then.

LOL - didn't you know that the French translation was ordered in China who had an Inuit doing it? And it was proof read by a Zulu.

I guess the best is to simply re-install the EA client.

The shortcut is Alt-Shift-Space with the diagram element selected.

Probably you have to report a bug. Use the form from the Support section below.

Look into %appdata%.../Sparx/...dberror.txt which eventually contains more details SQL error messages. Unfortunately you don't tell us what the issue is except "does not work".

As the help says: it's a collection. So you need to iterate and use GetAt.

I rarely use the in-build script engine but I have the very same issue when trying to debug. I claimed it to my very old OS and just use Run (with no debug) wehn needed. Probably someone else knows what to install to get the debugger to run. If not contact Sparx' support via mail.

Also look at Arshad's suggestion. The GetElementSet is probably better in your case.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Archimate connector stereotype labels

You could investigate that by looking into the shapescript itself- Geert has published a github repo with all shape scripts.

Hu. A defect *realizing* looks like intentionally being implemented. I'd probably would implement <<occur>> as connector in a profile. But finally you are absolutely free to invent your own notation.
