Suspecting a bug here. This is a new API function and guessing from the latest experience with newly introduced functions there's a high chance they don't work. Use the form below in the Support section.

Not too many I guess. You could eventually use a tagged value and some scripting. Anyhow, keeping multiple versions of the same thing in parallel will soon end up in a maintenance hell. I doubt those are worth it. Paolo might have a different opinion.

In that case you should contact Sparx support via mail.

General Board / Re: Are Relationships Model Entities
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:42:59 am »
You can create relationsships in the Relationship Matrix. If you use V<=12 it's Tools/Relationship Matrix. If V=>13 enter Relationship in the Start/Search menu.

You can also use Add/Create Link from the browser's context menu for an element.

To view Relationships you can use the Relationships window (V<=12: Element/Relationships; else Start/Search).

Replacing the 2nd loop like this
Code: [Select]
     dim tab1 as EA.Element
     set tab1 = Repository.GetElementByID(tab.ElementID)
     For Each col In tab1.Attributes
         If col.Name = "TABLE_NAME" Then
            Session.Output "2: " & col.Name & " " &  col.Type
            '2: TABLE_NAME varchar
         End If
      Next
fixed the issue. Honestly, I never ever used a collection more than once. This Refresh-thingy is just fishy in my opinion. And obviously it's broken too. Feel free to send a bug report.

q.

P.S. Probably the Refresh has only an effect if you added or removed elements from it. In any case it's broken.

You should report that as bug.

Ah, now I see. Unfortunately you reply here in long distances so I'm out each time. I see that the 2nd loop shows the non-updated values. But EA is doing the change (this is why I posted that it works correctly) since afterwards the types ARE changed. So the question is: why does the 2nd loop show the wrong values. Hmm. Tricky indeed.

To my knowledge this is not possible.

Bugs and Issues / Re: EA 14.0: Find in Browser odd behaviour
« on: May 15, 2018, 07:13:08 pm »
Yes, just the way to work with EA: via bypasses. I'm still on V12. Sparx has the unfortunate tendency to make things worse with each release after they were so vivid in the beginning. Still hoping for better times to come :-/

I guess he meant that down in the Start menu.

Try the Extended Search in Ctrl-F.

From a guess: check the tagged values whether there's some in/out value you can set. Likely this is a shapescript reacting on a TV.

I remember this was discussed here. IIRC you can simply create a new usystable and fill it with the contents of a blank EAP file.

What does that mean? This message appears there for ages.

Further: Enterprise Architect 13.5 Released! Hmm. Aren't we already at 14?

General Board / Re: Glossary plural terms
« on: May 11, 2018, 05:13:47 pm »
Honestly, that's exactly what I do in projects. The gimmick with the highligh does not work, but having a working and extendable glossary is what brings the real value. Would be nice to have the highlighting, but then again you get weird results since all those algorithms do a pure string check which fails anyway in certain cases (you find that in some web pages where strings get highlighted from a glossary). For example if you have acronyms that resemble natural words.
