Suggestions and Requests / Re: notes and sequence diagrams

Wow,

thank you.

What a tremendous feature.
And you are absolutly right.
That's pretty intuitive.

There must be an feature request, isn't it?

It's a pain doing it this way and it contradicts every usability.

Please Sparxians: provide a way to do it direcly via mouse.
This is a negative example.

Michael

Hello Paolo,

yes, I know that it is not possible. Therefore I wrote that I am missing that feature.

Your workaround doesn't help in all cases.

It is not possible to attach one single existing note to more than one message.

Because your are an Guru, may be you know whether a feature request was already done for that.

I think this is a very simple problem  and it even should be simple on the yet unknown to me sparx planet.

Hello,

thank you for your reply.

I still was not able to express what I meant I think.

I have a sequence diagram.
I have a (existing) note in this sequence diagram.
This note is currently not linked to a message.

I want to link the existing note in this diagram, to an
existing message in this diagram.

I am not able to do that.

Regards
Michael

Hello,

I very often miss being able to attach a note with a notelink to a message in a sequence diagram.

That would be very helpful to us.

Suggestions and Requests / merging partial classes
« on: October 19, 2007, 02:36:17 am »
Hello,

one of the new worlds keyword is 'partial'.

In C# it means one can spread the implementation of a class
over different files.

The problem when you reverse engineer them, that these parts apear as different class elements in the project explorer. This again leads to the problem, that one doesn't know which of the class element to take, when drawing a sequence diagram. I always take the wrong one where the method is not part of it, which I currently want to show on the seqence diagram.

1. Request: Let them appear as one class element in the project explorer.

The other way EA is not supporting the partial key word at code generation. Therefore

2. Request: Please provide a mechanism to support the partial idiom at code generation.

Hello Midnight Guru,

of course drag and drop instead or in addition to arrows for moving the groups would be nice to.

And configuring the colour and font and ...
No just kidding.

Drag and drop would be very nice.

Suggestions and Requests / Icon in tool group header
« on: October 17, 2007, 02:02:39 am »
Hello,

a little icon/button in the tool groups header, which are visible in the tool box would be nice.

The icon indicates that the tool group is pinned or not pinned inside the toolbox.

If implemented as button, a toggle functionality could be implemented for that.

Additionaly some arrows for moving tool groups up and down inside the tool box would be very helpful.

Greetings
Michael

Suggestions and Requests / favourites
« on: October 08, 2007, 09:58:56 pm »
Hello,

we would like to have a favourites package.

This would behave like this:

Drag and drop any object (class, package, diagram, ...)
into the favourites package.

Thus a reference to the original object is created in the favourites package.

The favourites pakage is a top level package.

Now yoy can drag and drop anything your are currently workin on into the favourites package.

close ea if you go off,
start ea and your last work state is ready for continuing in the favourits.

Michael

@Glassboy

No, this is not true.
I found out how to modify it. It is cumbersome and painfull like hell.

It WYDSIWYG, which means
What you don't see is what you get.

One has to define the Stylesheets blindly and during work you only can guess what you have done.

When ready you can apply the style and if wrong, do the correction in the same way. Blind!

Horrible.
Please Change that Sparkies.

General Board / How to format numbering for heading
« on: December 09, 2015, 08:30:47 pm »
Hello,

how can we Format the heading numbering for document Generation?

When generating docs, the headings get numeric numbers like
1.2, 3.4 etc.

How can we modify the formatting?
We cannot find anything for that in Stylesheets etc.
