Depends when your MDG Technology was built. As per the last line of my last post - "If your technology was built with an older version, you may need to re-build it using EA 13 or higher."

Using EA 13, build your MDG Technology file again. Hopefully this resolves the problem.

No way that I know of to access the clipboard from scripting languages. I think you'd need to write your program in a more full featured language such as C#.

This sounds like something that was fixed in EA 13. Can you confirm which specific build you are running? (See Help > About EA)

From the EA 13 release notes:
  MDG Technology Creation Wizard now preserves links between exported Scripts and Template Documents

When exporting the MDG technology with EA 13, the script GUID should be included as part of the export. When loading the MDG Technology, EA will use the supplied GUID (if available) to identify the script, so the template should now be able to reference it correctly.

If your technology was built with an older version, you may need to re-build it using EA 13 or higher.

General Board / Re: Why do I not have “Browser” in my WebEA menu
« on: June 20, 2018, 02:36:38 pm »
Was this a completely new installation, or were you upgrading from an older version? Did you copy the latest version of the WebEA files from your installation directory into your web server? E.g. like step 9 on the following page:
http://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/14.0/model_repository/webea_website.html

(I'm not personally familiar with any specific steps required to upgrade an existing WebEA installation, but just hoping to point in the right direction.)

What version does your Pro Cloud Server installation report itself as?

General Board / Re: WebEA with „Accept Windows Authentication”
« on: June 08, 2018, 10:25:56 am »
Hi Peter,

WebEA does not support any integration with Active Directory.

For WebEA access (assuming your model has security enabled) you have two configuration options.

a)
login_prompt = "true"

In which case users will need to enter a user ID and password as assigned in EA. Note, if you have been using the Windows Authentication option in EA then you may need to manually assign passwords to these users in EA (if you have not already).

b)
login_prompt = "false"
sscs_model_user = "<user id>"
sscs_model_pwd = "<password>"

In which case users will be automatically logged in as the specified user.

This is a fairly new feature to WebEA / Pro Cloud, released around the same time as EA 14. See release notes for Version 2.1 Build 18:
http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/procloud/history.html

Do you know what version you are currently using?

In WebEA, click the small "A" icon in the bottom right corner. At the moment in our sandbox it reports "WebEA v1.50.1650". Compare this to the version in your own installation.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Fix the feature screen
« on: June 07, 2018, 09:36:57 am »
After following the correct procedure, which informs me that someone from Sparx will contact me, it has gone quiet. Not sure what that means....Of course, there´s no mention of timelines, so this might be part of the process.

The only item from you I can see on this topic was submitted to our "Feature Requests" inbox. We don't typically reply to feature requests, but they do get reviewed by our team to gather feedback and get a feel for what people would like to see in EA. If you have a question that requires feedback from us, please send an email direct to support@sparxsystems.com or use the Bug Report / Support Request forms on our website.

Hi Nabil,
Works for me. Maybe your 'Features' window has become obscured or lost off-screen somewhere. Try resetting your Workspace layout (Start > View > Workspace > Select a Workspace). Try selecting "Default" and click Apply. The try accessing your Attributes/Operations again. Any luck?

Bugs and Issues / Re: Install Help Locally

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm told it should be fixed now. Please try following the "Install Help Locally" link from EA 14 again.

General Board / Re: F2 not change the name
« on: May 07, 2018, 04:42:37 pm »
That should trigger the EA_OnNotifyContextItemModified event, but unfortunately that will only tell you that something has changed. It doesn't tell you that the item was renamed, or if something else about it was changed.

Pressing F2 still works fine for me.

You can also edit the name of any item in the Project Browser by selecting the item and pressing F2.

General Board / Re: Encrypted Documents in 14
« on: May 03, 2018, 04:29:06 pm »
My understanding is that ordinary Linked Documents shouldn't be affected by this change. Only "Encrypted Document" artifacts, which are a special type in the Artifacts Toolbox. See "Encrypted Document Artifact" on the following page:
https://www.sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/14.0/modeling_tools/artifacttbp.html

The "Notes" checkbox should now be in the "Show Element Compartments" list along with all the other compartments.

Bugs and Issues / Re: User requires ALTER permission on t_image

Please see:

So I've just got some clarification that to fix this problem with SQL Server you need to apply an additional patch to the schema (EASchema_1220_SQLServer_Update1.sql). This update was just recently made available on our website (April 2018). In particular, please note that it requires all users to have EA 14 and is not backwards compatible. For more details, see:
