Suggestions and Requests / Re: Change order of Model Document attributes

The attributes are sortable via the Attributes View. The Project Browser arrows refer to packages/elements not sub-Elements. If you do want them sortable via theProject Browser it migh tbe best to lodge a Feature Request for this.

The Child Element section by default, if left clear of fields, will replicate the full Element section - which will include Element::Linked Documents if set on.
So I suggest you set this section on but leave it unpopulated - see the standard (basic template).

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Document generation from class diagram subset

RTF documents can be generated from Packages or single Elements but not from a Diagram.  However, if the Package simply has a diagram with no elements (the diagram consists of external elements) then a standard report can be run - just ensure the template has Package:: Diagram::Elements - set on but blank - and that the detail is layed out in the Package::Element - section.

On builds earlier than ~ 834 there was a page break between Model Documents - this has been removed in recent builds.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Enable Search to Export Results to CSV

Try Ctrl-A to select all, then in the context menu select: Copy to Clipboard.
Open say Excel and Ctrl-v to get the full format - save to CVS.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: SQL UPDATE Capability

If you are performing selective element updates then it may be best to look at using the: View | Element List - this allows quick access to each elements status in one view.

I suggest you look at this help page for Package based updates to these fields:

As a Work-around you can do a Ctrl-F Model Search using SQL:

SELECT t_object.ea_guid AS CLASSGUID, t_object.Object_Type AS CLASSTYPE, t_object.Name, t_document.DocType
FROM t_object INNER JOIN t_document ON t_object.ea_guid = t_document.ElementID
WHERE (((t_object.Object_Type)='Package') AND ((t_document.DocType)="Baseline"));

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Exclude Tagged Values  RTF Reports

In builds 834+ there is the F8 | [Element Filters] tab - this does support setting a filter for Element.TaggedValues.

A suggestion:
If you export that baseline to another model and run the report, then use: Word - Compare to comapare it with the current report - it may give a much clearer and readable view of the relevant changes that have been made.

Suggestions and Requests / Re: Model Version

This process is simpler than outlined above:
1).  Create a new ‘Branch”   from the Original – copy the Base as a Model – to either .eap or DBMS: Tools | Data Transfer.
2).  Model in the new Branch (users add new data)
3). Then do a difference and merge from the new Branch model to the Original:
         Branch -> Create a Baseline
         Open the Original -> Baseline Compare /Merge: Load Other Baselines: select the Branch.Baseline

In terms of Duplication  - see:
The latest build does support Baseline Differencing between different repositories. See Load Other Baselines:

If you have the recent build, which includes "Load Other Baselines" (from other repositories), the process you outlined would involve something like:

 1).  Create a new ‘Branch”   and a baseline – but create the Branch as a Model – either .eap or DBMS:
    Tools | Data Transfer .
 2).  Model the new Branch (users add new data)
 3). Then do a difference and merge from the new Branch model to the Original.
          Branch -> Create a Baseline
           Original -> Compare /Merge: Branch.Baseline
