Corporate Edition Floating License
Corporate Floating licenses have the full functionality of the Corporate Edition, but with floating capabilities. Floating licenses are suitable for companies who wish to automate the management of EA registration keys, providing the facility to administer the licenses via the Sparx Enterprise Key Store. This is a free service with the purchase of floating licenses and can be downloaded from the registered users section of the Sparx Systems Website. -
Corporate Edition
The Corporate Edition is aimed at larger development teams. It supports everything in the Desktop and Professional versions, as well as the ability to connect to SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle 9i and 10g, PostgreSQL, MSDE, Adaptive Server Anywhere and MS Access backends as the shared repository. It also supports user security, user logins, user groups, replication and user level locking of elements. Support for MDG Technologies is included with the Corporate version of EA. Additional resource are available to users of the Corporate Edition. -
Professional Edition
The Professional Edition is aimed at work groups and developers. It supports shared projects through replication and shared network files. The Professional version also has an ActiveX interface for interrogating EA projects and extracting information in XMI format. The Professional version also fully supports code and database schema import/export and synchronization of model elements with source code. -
Desktop Edition
The Desktop Edition is targeted at a single developer producing UML analysis and design models. It includes all Professional features except code engineering (import/export of source code and DDL), the Active-X interface and the ability to share a model amongst multiple users.
Upgrades
You can upgrade your version of EA to a more feature rich edition at any time by paying the current difference between the edition you own and the edition you wish to upgrade to (registered users only). Please note that renewal rates thereafter will be calculated at the higher license level.
Note: Upgrading your license (e.g. from Desktop edition to Professional edition) does not renew your subscription period.
