Replace or Delete Documents

If a linked document is out of date you can edit the text, or you can:

  • Delete the content and replace it from another file, or
  • Delete the document altogether

Either:

  • Right-click on the element and select the 'Edit Linked Document' menu option, or
  • Click on the element and press Ctrl+Alt+D

The linked document opens in the 'Linked Document Editor'.

Click in the body of the document and press Ctrl+A to select all the document text.

Press Delete.

Right-click and select the 'File | Import' option.

The 'Windows Open' dialog displays, in which you can browse for the file to import into the document.

Click on the Save icon in the Linked Document Editor toolbar.

Right-click on the element in the Project Browser or diagram, and select the 'Delete Linked Document' option.

A prompt displays for you to confirm the deletion; click on the Yes button.
