Title: EA jet database error
Post by: korsbecker on March 22, 2012, 06:45:18 pm
Hi All

How do I get rid of this message:

http://imageshack.us/f/69/eaerror.jpg/

"the microsoft database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time"

There is only one user using this *.eap file, but the users EA crashed just before this error occurred!

regards
henrik :-)

I guess simply by switching to a *real* database.

There is no "database" involved apart from what might be used internally by EA!!!

That's what I'm saying. Instead of using a toy-DB (which EAP aka. MS Access definitely is) switch to something real.

Ok I wasn't aware that the EAP is a ms jet db.. sorry but it still doesn't solve my current problem that I can't access one of my diagrams!

Henrik,

You can either try the EA repair function, or use MS-Access to try and repair the .eap file.
That might just solve the issue.

If all that does not help: export the model as XMI and create it from scratch. You might then re-transfer selected packages. Or try a model transfer.
