Title: Positioning of attributes doesn't work as expected
Post by: aloeffen on November 01, 2012, 09:43:29 pm
Dewar EA people,

Positioning of attrributes  (arrows up and down) does not work as expected (EA 9.3).
- Add attriubute to class. Defaults to below other attributes.
- Save.
- Move attribute up.
- Save button is disabled.
Workaround attempt:
- Change the name when at new position. Dave button is enabled.
- Save.
- Attribute is renamed but relocated unexpectedly.

I see this should not be done through save, but is effectuated immediately.
I think i have to withdraw the comment.

I am not fully understanding your problem
I add an attribute to a class it is added to the bottom of the list
If I user the arrow keys I can position the attribute where I want it
The save button is disabled because I have not changed the attribute, just its position in the list

The confusion lies in that some actions must be confirmed, some not. This is one of these cases.
The same holds for the fact that some actions can be undone, and some not (which is imho a serious drawback of EA).

We call that EAUI: EA Unique Interface.
