Title: Lost connections in sequence
Post by: Evgeny Florov on June 25, 2014, 06:22:07 pm
We use EA 9.3.935. Model is shared on SVN. Used many small "controlled packages" in model tree. After execution "Package Control/Get all latest" in all sequence diagramm was losts all message/call connections.

How we can resolve this?

I guess you used classes in the sequence diagrams, not objects?

All cases: in some diagramms - only components with provided interfaces;  in some - classes; in some classes and objects.

That is a known issue for version 9.x

Apparently it should be a lot better in v10 and v11.

Workaround for v9 is to use only objects and never classifiers in sequence diagrams.

Oh, this has been fixed? I would have preferred if the use of classes in sequence diagrams would have been disallowed from the beginning.

Ok.

One more similar question. Also after "get all last" or "scan xmi and reconcile model" on all charts of components and communications z-order was broken and all connections became visible. It is a bug or we do something not correctly?

Sounds like a bug, but I guess you will not see a fix for V9.3.
