Title: Creating requirements
Post by: kelkaraa on February 16, 2005, 02:15:44 pm
Greetings,

I am new to EA. One of the things I want to do is create requirements in the model. Is there a easy way to take a set of text requirements I have and quickly generate the requirements in the model without having to enter individual requirement.

Thanks

Hi,

it really depends on the way you have captured the requirements. If you have them in a text file, Excel spreadsheet or a like, you can take advantage of the CSV import functionality in EA. Right-click a package in EA and go to Import/Export > CSV Import/Export.

Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot for the information. With the CSV import I was able to import all the requirements into the model.

Thanks again

Hi

One more thing can we create external requirement element in model of EA through C#. I am able to create internal Requirements that are not visible in Model hierarchy.

TIA
