Title: Sequational diagram-messages
Post by: zlotin on January 08, 2002, 04:49:57 am
As I remember, in other case editors when I adding the message to sequational diagram, the operation is automatically added to the class. Has the EA the same feature?

To add to this, I find that only being offered a choice of previously defined methods for that object is a useful 'reality check' at design time - it makes you think and stops you creating more than you really need.
If you were considering modifying EA to automatically add the new method to the object then I think that the option of turning this feature off should also be included.

Hi,

I sort of compromised on this and added a button to the end of the MessageName drop down in the Message Dialog ... this is active if the target object supports operations or has a classifier that does. Click on this and the Operations dialog will show for the appropriate object - when closed the drop list will refresh with the list of operation names (including any new ones)

This will be in the next minor build (after 440)
