When I copy a sequence diagram to the clipboard then paste (either shallow or deep) the result is basically garbage (various sequence elements unrelated to what I copied). Is there a known problem or am I missing something? I am using the latest build (482).
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,
This is not an answer, but may be a help.
Please try "Paste As New"(Ctrl+Shift+V),it will copy all object well, but will copy no messages :'(.
I think this is easy way to make a new sequence diagram,so if you want to make a new sequence with all objects, please try this.

Hi guys,
I just tested this on a couple of sequence diagrams. I right clicked on a diagram in the browser, selected copy to clipboard, right clicked on another package in Browser and selected Paste Diagram - I chose Deep copy when prompted.
The result was an exact copy of the original - so that if you flipped between them you couldnt tell them apart.
This doesnt seem to be the exeperience you are having - so I was wondering what the difference is. Did you follow the same procedure as I outlined above?
Do you do something slightly different?
Is this peculiar to a particular diagram or for everyone you try?

Hello Geoff,
I create a new EA project and try as you say,and all operations went well.
But In some of my sequence diagram, result of copy operation is always bad.Places of objects are disturbed.
I'm going to try to find the difference, and tell you later if I can find it.

I followed your instructions carefully and some sequence diagrams copied perfectly and others were bad (that is, successful diagrams were always successful and the bad ones were always bad). I haven't determined what the deciding factor is, I just have to try and copy to see if the diagram will copy correctly.
