Title: Selective attributes/operations hide
Post by: amc2002 on May 15, 2002, 02:25:42 am
Does anyone know if EA provides feature of selective attributes/operations hiding like in Rational Rose ?

I.e. I have a class in Workspace and want to show it on several diagrams, but having only selected attributes/operations shown on each diagram - how to do this in EA ?

Thanks.

Currently I believe this can only be done for all attributes that are public, protected and private.

There is a list box on the diagram properties window (on the right, middle) that allows the hiding of members according to their visibility.

I would also be very interested in the possibility to hide/show operations and attributes (and not based on their accessability) more selectively...

In addition, I just wondered whether it's possible to give classes a differente appearance in different diagrams. In the moment it seems as if a class' appearance is global ...

I even cannot find to make _all_ attributes invisible (to make the diagram more compact). Can anyone tell me how?
Thank you

Hi,

If you right click on a class with attributes - there is a menu option "Specify Feature Visibility" - select this, then uncheck Public, Privat and Protected check boxes for Attributes. Press OK.

This will hide all attributes for a class in the current diagram.
