Hi,
I have installed 3.50.575 (eval) and am running the corporate version against MySQL.
When I try to enable security, I enter the authorization key, hit OK and nothing happens. If I close EA and restart, nothing is any different and there are no new menus or notifications, etc.
I still have the 3.1 evaluation installed on my machine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Derek,
Im not sure from your note if you have the registered version of EA as well as the Eval version installed.
There are two keys for enabling security - one for use with evaluation version and one for use with the registered version. Which one are you using?
Also note that you must include the { and } characters when inputting the key and there should be no trailing psaces or extra characters.

Dear Geoff
Thanks for the reply. I only have the evaluation versions installed at present.
I am using the key "{C27378C8-6CD8-4efa-92F8-4E0E4F1A8B65}" copied from http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/ea_downloads.htm
Since I am evaluating the product for use in a distributed dev environment, it is quite important that we get to evaluate the locking and multi-user options available.

Hi Derek,
My apologies - it appears there was a problem with the Trial version using the supplied key ... it has been corrected now in the latest build (576) of EA, which has just been released. The latest release also includes quite a few refinements and a couple of new features you may find useful.
Sorry for the mix up,
Geoff Sparks
