Here is a new feature request:
It would be nice to have the user interface be a view with tabs, with each tab showing an open diagram.
This would help greatly in switching between a few diagrams, while working.
The arrow keys to navigate to previous and next diagrams provides this functionality, but it doesn't tell me what diagram I am going to see if I press the previous or next arrow.

I will certainly second that request! The "One document at a time" approach of EA does make it a bit of a bother to refer to one document while working on another.

I have also found times that this feature would be very helpful.

All,
Another vote in favor of multiple diagrams open in a single EA session...

Me too!
... but I would like them in separate windows rather than on tabs. I always work on 2 monitors, and I would like to be able to view multiple diagrams simultaneously.

A presentation like the latest VS.NET would be the most user friendly.

I'd like something simple.
In the project browser, how about adding another context menu item for diagram objects ("Open Diagram in Browser" versus "Open" for editing) that would open a dockable/resizable toolbar, with the title showing the name of the diagram, and the entire toolbar filled with the diagram we want to browse.
The ability to open up as many of these diagram browsers would be nice.
The ability to zoom-in/out (maybe via context menu) would be essential.
The ability to switch diagrams between a "browser window" and the (currently implemented) "diagram view" would be a great feature too.
-
sure, browser windows would be nice enough, but why not go for fully editable diagram views from the beginning? I would like to be able to CTRL-drag instances of classes from class diagrams to collaborations and sequence diagrams, just to give one of many possible examples of use. The ability to create associations across diagrams would also be nice (e.g realization links), but may be more complicated for sparx to implement

sridhar, I agree. My suggestion could be an easier first step towards full functionality though, eh?

I give my vote to multiple windows for diagrams.
I suppose that this thread should go somewhere under "Required features". I think I saw a link somewhere on the homepage.
