Title: Search and Replace in all project text

Excuse me if this has been asked.  I could not find it in my searches.

Have a client that needed a project.  We started with a name (say "Cerdo Asado") for the project.  The name has been repeated in the notes and documentation of the project.

Now, client wants to change the name (say to "Lechon Asado").  I know I can do a search and replace in the RTF or the HTML for documentation (using Word).  But you know we are going to miss some, now or in the future. :(

So, is there a way to do a search and replace for text in notes, explanations, internal comments to requirements, use cases, etc.? ???

Hate to have to open all those model elements. :o

Would exporting to XMI, changing the export file and then importing from XMI be a workable solution for you ?

Hi,

I just fixed a similar problem by making a copy of the .eap file, opening it it Access, then simply doing a Find and Replace in the objects table.

This worked for me, as I just needed to change the names of some objects.  You might need to poke around in the tables to find the fields where you need to make changes.  N.B. DO IT ON A COPY. Better safe than sorry.
