Title: How can I set a default version/phase
Post by: mcoletti on January 13, 2005, 08:36:26 am
The default value is always 1.0.

I would like to set a new default value and:

- use as default for new elements,
- override previous value in existing elements (optionally) when I change them

Is there a way to achieve this?

Packages have "Package Control/Update Package Status..." in the context menu. This might help.

Thomas, thanks.

It may help.

A better solution could be to inherit the version/phase values from the upper level package when:

In this way I can decide at a certain level of the project that the version has changed, and keep track of what elements are changed.
I can use the change date, but this forces to keep a 'log' of version/dates.

Maybe this could become a feature request?

it sound good as long as changing vertion of package is inherited to child packages and elements, but a change in one element in package doesnt affect others.

In case I have many libraries in one package I wouldnt like automaticly change of all libraries version number (thus making trouble to my customers) only becouse I change one of the libraires version.
