Title: Question on generlization
Post by: zogus2000 on May 20, 2005, 10:17:28 am
Hello all - have a question.  I have Use case 'A' that is a generalization of Use Cases A.1 and A.2.  'A' has an extend relationship with another Use case, 'B'.  My question is that is it correct to say that A.1/ A.2 also have an extend relationship with B?  i.e. can A.1/ A.2 call B, or would only A be able to call B?
Thanx!

It depends. Do A.1 and A.2 need the functionality in B? If so then yes.

As a rule, don't get too hung up on this kind of stuff. Get the text of the use cse correct and then let the diagrams reflect it.

Thanx Kevin - for your confirmation and for the advise to not get overly hung up on this :-)
