Title: MDG link VS2005 Beta 1.0 - Can't create EA Model

I create a new windows application in Visual Studio 2005.  Then try to create a corresponding EA Model by selecting View, Enterprise Architect, Create a model.  I get the following message "Error: Failed to create Solution Items folder!" or if replacing an existing model I get: "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException(0x80040009): There was an error creating the selected project.  Please check you details and try again at EA.RepositoryClass.CreateModel(CreateModelType CreateType, String FilePath, Int32 ParentWnd) as Vsip.VSIntegerate.m.e()" - Any Suggestions?

Hello Keith,

The second message is EA's overreaction to an attempt to overwrite an existing file.  We will fix that.

The first error is more sinister, and we have yet to get to the bottom of it.  Basically we ask VS to create a solution items folder for us and sometimes it says yes and sometimes it doesn't.

Could you confirm that trying to create a non-existant file succeeds eventually?

I have further characterized the problem.  Clicking the Properties Icon in Solution Explorer or other icons above the main window such as Toolbox or Start Page always makes it succeed.  Otherwise, it fails.  Perhaps it is trying to make a subfolder of the highlighted file in Solution Explorer when it fails - I'm not sure.

I concur. I get the solution files creation error every time if I have selected the solution in the solutions explorer and I get a stray tmp file left in the root of the solution explorer after it fails

If I select the banner on the properties window and try it works.
