Title: Namespace containment in MDG SysML Plug-In
Post by: acme82 on November 14, 2007, 05:04:37 am
Hi,

according to the SysML specification [1] (e.g. p. 39) there is an element marking a so-called "namespace containment" which describes that a certain requirement contains one or more other requirements. The symbol of this association is a circle containing a cross. Unfortunately, I am not able to find this symbol in the MDG SysML Plug-In. Is there an equivalent or which kind of association is to be used to model namespace containment?

Thanks and kind regards,

Markus Müller

Markus,

That's the Nesting connector in EA.

It's implementation may not be correct for your needs, but I think conceptually it fits...  Check out the Help.

Markus,

I wonder if it can be set by setting a tagged value on the association, or perhaps one of the association ends.

Some of the BPMN stuff draws itself differently depending on tagged values.
