Title: Automatically generate class dependency

Missed I something or is it not possible to generate class dependency (generalization, association or what else) automatically and show up the connectors without explicitly editing?

For example I create class x with attribute tmp and type y and class y is in the class diagram. Could I somehow generate the association, without explicitly editing every association (sometimes it happens but how?)?  Or with which option/function is it possible?
