Title: use case size ?
Post by: ZoranPavlovic on August 20, 2007, 02:23:05 am
Helo all,

I'm new customer/user of Enterprise Arhcitect. After Rational Rose, working with this is really 'user friendly' :)

So, the question is: how can I put use case name in 2 lines ?
I mean, I have use-case, named like this :' Generate Customers Payment Reports' .. so, I don't want to have all of these words in 1 line, and to have use case size of half of A4 page :(, instead of, I'd like to have this name in 2 lines.
I spent around 1 hour lookin in help, but didn't find answer ?

thanks in adv.
Zoran

I've tried your example, but the result was an UC with names over three lines (I had even longer name).

Anyway you can try this setting:
Tools - Options - Allow elongated Use Cases
If checked, use cases or use case extension points with long names can be stretched to a disproportionate width to enable space for the name. If unchecked, use case re sizing is proportional.

Or this (with an element selected):
Element - Set Feature Visibility - When resizing elements

Hello Peter,

thank you very much for answer. It works :)

anyhow, I already checked that option, but, I thought that it will work for already made use cases.

Thanks a lot

Here's a bit of a long shot, Zoran. Try to autosize the pre-existing use cases once you've checked the option. You can do this by selecting them and then entering alt-Z.
