Hi,
I noticed that Save To XMI (alt-ctrl-s) saves the package as a detached process. Looks fine on the first glance. But what happens when I change data during this export? Probably the XMI will be scrap, won't it? Any guesses? I don't think that it is a good idea to let the user manipulate the package during an export. Thoughts?

Sounds like a misguided attempt to stay responsive. I think you're right about the possibility of corrupting the export if someone changes the data while the detached process is running.
It sounds like large exports would be particularly vulnerable. There'd be a broader range of things should be locked, and the export would take longer.

I wouldn't touch it - but maybe they lock the database during export. Most programs don't allow that kind of meddling :)
