Title: Import schema from ODBC not showing dialog
Post by: Martin Terreni on September 02, 2008, 03:28:58 pm
Working with 7.1.832 on MSSQL2005.
When working on some of my projects (very big ones if it makes a difference) I right click on packages and choose "Import schema from ODBC" and it doesn't work, the dialog just doesn't pop.
Security is disabled, It hapens also if I create a totaly new root with new packages (even if not under VC).
It happens both for projects under SVN and TFS.
If it is of any help this are projects that where created from backuped DBs of a base project we have, and then we manualy change VC settings for all packages in DB. Though this we did other times and it still worked.

Thanks for the help.

Ok, I found a problem:
For some inconceivable reason, if you have  a diagram open (whatever diagram it is) and you try to import DB schema (even from a totaly unrelated and uncontrolled package), EA tells you that you have a diagram open and if it is OK to save (wheather you had change it or not). Now, if the diagram is under a checked in package, it can not save it, so it doesn;t open the dialog at all.
Any explenations from SParx?

Have you sent a message or bug report to Sparx Support yet?
