Title: Color
Post by: Shailen on March 25, 2009, 08:10:56 am
I was wondering if this is possible in EA.  Would I be able to set up a Colour scheme as a default in EA, so that the users can set their preference in their own instance if they wish to, however when the diagrams are saved into a central repository it would be saved with the default colour?

Reason being is because I want to follow an IBM standard of color schema and I don't want my team changing the color.  Would I be able to generally lock the color options on the diagram?

Thank You!

Hi Shailen,

One way you could achieve this is by creating a template package. See http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/what_is_uml_modeling/using_element_templates.html for more information for more information.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply.  Would you be able to post the full link as the current link redirects me to the introduction to EA page.

Thanks.

This is the link that Michael provided. Does it work now? (I'm checking it myself too!)

EDIT: It works for me - how about anyone out there?

Yep works for me too.  Not too sure why it wasn't working in Michael's response.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
