Christian,

I believe there should be no issues.
I'm currently working with the 8.0.855 where the other users are still on 7.5.850.

Thanks Geert

I think it would be good to have such information somewhere in the release notes.

The last time they had major issues with the database for a version change they did announce that. It was with the audit which once turned on would have fixed you to the new release but without you were able to live with both versions in parallel. This time there was no such announcement. Though it would be nice to read it explicitly in the release notes.

When I tried this before I found that the spelling errors that 8.0 (Beta) flagged showed up as static colored text in 7.5. I filed a bug about it that was hopefully fixed in the final version, but you might want to check.

Ideally it would be better to have all users running v8.0. However, there should be no major problems with running a mixed environment.

I hope this is of help.
