Title: Difference between EA 7.0 and EA8.0
Post by: llw2go on February 01, 2011, 04:00:44 am
We stand at the begin of a new project. The decision have to be made: Choose EA 7.0 or update to EA8.0.

We have some Licence for the EA 7.0, if we continue to use it, we don't have to pay anything.

The qustion is: What's the new features in EA8.0, that so attractive, that a update is recommended.

We work in Embedded branche, using C. The Code size is about 40K Lines.

Thanks for your advise... 8-) 8-) 8-)

There are over 3 thousand lines of release notes between 7.0 and the current build of 8.0.  Probably little of that is going to affect you, but I imagine the general bug fixes and usability improvements would be worth the upgrade price.

Taking into account the ridiculous price of an upgrade, you shouldn't even think twice.

Which is basically what I was getting at, but didn't want to say it so directly.
