Title: EA slows down after installing Navigator

Hi 2 all,

let me ask you one question: after installing EA Navigator, my EA (version 9.3.933) works so slowly .. it makes me mad, that I can not work as fast as before I  install Navigator.

please tell me, how can I un-install Navigator ?

Thank you q.

I did it .. remove, and now EA works fast again. Maybe it's not up to module, maybe it's up to my computer, but that modul did slow down my EA a lot.

Hi, sorry I know, I'm working on it  :-[
The EA Navigator works fine on relatively small local models, but it slows down things when working on a (large) central DBMS model.

The DEV build (https://github.com/downloads/GeertBellekens/Enterprise-Architect-Toolpack/EANavigator_Setup_DEV.msi) of version 2.3 fixes this by doing most of the work in the background and returning control to EA immediately.
But I think there's still a bug or two that I have to track down. It works fine for hours on end, but then suddenly it returns a multithreading related error (and you have to restart EA to get it to work again) :'(

Once I've fixed those last few bugs i'll officially release this version.

I think I got it now :)

I've been using the latest DEV version (https://github.com/downloads/GeertBellekens/Enterprise-Architect-Toolpack/EANavigator_Setup_DEV.msi) (2.3.3.4) now for a couple of days, and I didn't have any more errors.

I think this is the version that will be released as the official 2.3 version.

I've released version 2.3 of the EA Navigator.

It now doesn't slow down EA anymore.

have you updated the version number on the About panel?
I still see  2.2.4704.37448 from 17.11.2012

You might be right.
I have updated the version number in the installer, but not in the assembly.
I'll fix that tomorrow, thanks for letting me know.
