Title: Traceability between models
Post by: K N on April 19, 2013, 03:30:08 am
Hi

Is there any way that I can create traceability between process models?

Say for eg i hv a Business Process model and a BPEL model...how can I create a traceability between an activity in the BPM model to its corresponding BPEL model?

Thanks

Thanks qwerty!!!.....but how can i do that? I understand thats possible with use case diagrams right...but how with BPM models? Do you have any sample or can you write steps how to do it?

Thanks

Hmm. That's so basic that I wonder why it should be an issue ::) Just have both elements on one diagram (you can also place one element temporarily on a diagram and remove it afterwards). Then draw the dependency with the Quick Linker (a <<trace>> should be available in almost all cases). You're done.

There's also the possibility to do that with the relationship matrix. Open source and target package and create the <<trace>> at the crossing of the according row and col. Or for a complete row/col.
