Title: Why does the own made Profiles dont show up ?
Post by: MathiasK on May 07, 2014, 10:14:40 pm
Hi, made a profile (hopefully)

by adding a Package to my package and have given that package the stereotype "profile" as described in the EA Guide.

When i double-click a element on my diagram and choose "stereotype" [...] the Profile is not shown in the list "Profile: " .

Do some know why or a better way to make Profiles?

You need to export the profile and create a MDG with Tools/Generate MDG... Then you can import that MDG and will have it available for deploying.

Try using the 'Basic Template' in 'Model Wizard" (under MDG Technology BUilder), this sample has complete instructions on how to build a MDG technology with profile toolbox and diagram.

I once published this article: http://community.sparxsystems.com/tutorials/552-24intro-to-creating-a-mdg-file

There's also a nice tutorial from some "tiger team" but you need to use Google to find it :-)
