I really appreciate the improvement of working with the linestyle "orthogonal rounded". I wonder if it would be possible to make it my default linestyle, saving me the time to rightclick every relation.

Where can I change the default settings for linestyle from Direct to Orthogonal-Rounded?

If you could it would be
Tools > Options > Links . Default Style > Routing:

but you can't.
