Title: EA User name

My EA user name was the same as the Windows user name.

I changed it via Tools -> Options, to a new one.

The new user name was updated in the appropriate registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sparx Systems\EA400\EA\OPTIONS\AUTHOR.

When I checkout a pcakge and take a look in its flags, the "CheckedOutTo" is reffering the Windows user name!

My t_secuser table is empty since I do not use EA security.

How can I make EA not to ignore the user name setting?

The Author is used by EA only to set the according element property. Any security is not affected by this setting. EA will always keep the EA user/Windoze user. I guess it would not be nice if everybody could change his name inside EA to pretend being someone else.

Hi,

I just tried it. You are right: The user name in CheckoutFlags=  is the login name. It may differ to author.

If the user name is important for me I enable security and use the windows login.
