Title: How to hide connector labels in a whole diagram
Post by: DanielB on March 10, 2015, 10:04:01 am
Hi,

I know that the problem has been discussed multiple times but I still can't fine the answer and I'm pretty sure I once did it but can't recall how.

So the problem is: when using Information flows through the diagram how to hide only "<<flow>> label and not the name of Information Flow object.

1. Diagram options -> Connector tab -> Suppress All Conector Labels doesn't work because it hiddens all labels.
2. Right click on Connector -> Visibility -> Set Label Visibility -> Middle Bottom Label (uncheck) works, but when having multiple connections it is so dummy to do it this way...
3. Right click on Label -> Hide Label is faster than option #2 but still requires manual click on every connector.

Is there any out of the box functionality to achieve that? Or maybe someone has written custom script to add this capability to Sparx EA?

Much appreciate for any help.

Regards,
Daniel

Some time ago I posted a script to do this on the thread below.

I vaguely remember, last time this was discussed, that I mentioned that the «flow» keyword is an important part of the InformationFlow notation, and without it you will have invalid UML. How will your audience know that the dashed line is an InformationFlow and not a Dependency?

[edit]Ah yes, Stan has posted the link and I did say something like that. Thanks Stan![/edit]
