Say I have big note for an element, and I want to find some word in it?
Is there any way to do that?
-
Copy all
Paste to notepad++
Ctrl-f

Nice! :) Does it makes sense to make request to sparx to add this functionality?
-
Sure, you can send in a feature request (http://www.sparxsystems.com/support/feature_request.html) but it may take a while before it is implemented (or not, you never know)

I guess one could mock-up EA by entering Windoze's guts, catch the Ctrl-F keyboard event and watch whether the focus is on the notes properties. - Just if you have plenty of time ;)

Open the Properties dialog for the element containing your notes. Click into the Notes field and press either Ctrl+F or F3. Press F3 to find next. Can't see any mention of this in the help, but it worked okay for me in the current build of EA (12.0.1211).

This search is a feature of the text editors used across EA. Some topics mention it, whilst the Notes topic didn't. It does now!
Be aware that you can use it in the context of a Notes/Description FIELD, but not in the Notes window where Ctrl+F operates at the model level and invokes the Model Search instead.

Thank you both! It would me more convenient to add F3 search functionality to [Notes View], not only in Properties window.

I'd like to see a find button added to the note editing window.
But this is not new,
