Title: Labeling BPMN elements

Hi,

for documentation purposes, for discussions with process members would be useful to label certain elements (tasks, sequences, gateways...).

The Auto Name (Name) is not practicable, because it will be part of name.
The Auto Name (Alias) would be fine, if it could be displayed on the elements, separately from Name.

Any ideas ?

Have you tried looking at Project -> settings -> Auto names and number - you can set it up for Activities for example against your Alias field, then under Tools->Options -> Diagram -> Behavior check Use Alias and Name. Then on your diagrams as required view the properties and select use Alias if available
