Title: RACI-Matrix
Post by: tf on May 05, 2015, 07:15:59 pm
I would like to define a RACI-Matrix in EA or generate a RACI-Matrix based on BPMN processes.
Any ideas how to do it?

Thanks

Assuming that your model has processes and responsibilities defined you should be able to create a matrix by right clicking on the package select Relationship Matrix, choose "As Both" and restrict the Source and the Target accordingly using whatever stereotype you have use for processes and responsibilities.

This of course assumes that you have created a dependency between the processes and those who are responsible for them.

Thanks for the tip. I can display the relationships between pools and activities in a matrix.

However, I miss the "RACI". Can I define (and display) this as an attribute of the relationship, i.e. pool A is responsible (R) for activity 1?

Have you tried a custom overlay?

I don't see an overlay field in my matrix. Is this available in V9 (which I use)?

On EA12 the relationship matrix has 2 lists next to the Refresh and Options buttons, the bottom list is for the Overlays and if I expand it I have the option of creating a new overlay.

Unfortunately I cannot remember when this feature was introduced.

V9 doesn't have this list.

One more reason to upgrade  ;)

Thanks for helping me.
