Title: FRQ drag element on diagram should copy ports!
Post by: angel-o-sphere on May 24, 2004, 09:05:03 am
Hi,

when I drag a component with ports from the project view onto a diagram, it has no ports on the diagram.

I can drag the ports as well ... no problem ... but I have 313 components .... and I was just about to add ports to them, now I relize that I will die a drag/drop death :/

The ports are there - they are just not visible.  Suggest you try and find out how this visibility is set in the EAP file and bulk set them.

However, beware of embedded objects and inheritance! I have one object that magically inherits ports from a deleted parent.... go figure?

Hm,

I don't understand. There is no option to set them visible and it does not look like they are invisible.

The ports show up after I drag them also to the diagram ... they show as nested elements in the project browser.

click on the context menu for the element, select Embedded objects, you ar presented with a list of the ports with check boxes down the left.  you can either click the checkbox or double click the port and set its visibility directly
