This is prompted by a prior thread on support for textual analysis of use case material.
I reckon it would be a good idea if there was an option to "stick" the notes window on a particular item. What I mean is to have the notes window open and thumbtacked down - but have some way to select an element in the current diagram (and thus see its notes) and then to stick it on that element while you create, edit etc etc other elements in the diagram.
There would probably need to be some consideration to the fact that it is stuck by, say, making it read only or changing it visually.
Whaddayareckon?

Hi Bruce,
I guess Sparx already stepped in that direction as it is possible to inline-edit names. Probably the next step should be to enable selection of arbitrary elements in a diagram and have all related attribute windows (notes, tags, a.s.o.) working for that selection.

Found a work around (sort of)!
Put a note element in the diagram linked to the element feature (in my case element note). This lets me see the notes while I ...underline nouns etc... and create the appropriate derivative elements ... business objects etc...
Sort of, because the notes are occassionally d >:(n long! and it would be nice to have something like a KDE rollup blind on them...... no I wont be reasonable I want everything and I want it now :)

Have you tried having EA running twice on the same machine? This is especially useful if you have a dual-monitor set-up. Just try not to make simultaneous changes in both apps... 8)
