Title: Changing Monitors
Post by: Bill Egge on April 29, 2005, 06:00:17 am
I would like a button or some way in EA to make the app relocate to another monitor and relocate all its dialogs and windows also.

The relocation would work like this in a 2 monitor system and assuming EA is currently on monitor A:
I click button X (or hot key, or menu)
The EA window relocates to Monitor B
Each dialog or window swaps its location, meaning if it were on A then it moves to B and if it were on B then it moves to A.

Essentially, every dialoag and window, including the main EA window swaps monitors.

When using multiple monitors i have seen this function but usually in OS apps that allowe you to move programs to another monitor, not actually in the program itself but in an external utility.
My point, if you're using multiple monitors use the nvidia (for example) tool to move the EA app to the other monitor.

I would like to upload some screen shots of the process but not really sure if this forum allows uploads.

But would it move the other EA windows also?

You could use http://www.eausergroup.org/ for that.

Thank you!

You should receive your username and password via e-mail shortly, it may in
fact already be there.
Unfortunately, the usernames are created automatically based on your e-mail
address, I can't setup a username of your choice :-( I hope that is not too
much of a problem!
You can however chance the display name, i.e. the name other users can see.
When you log in, simply click on your name in the list of the members, and
edit the display name then.

Thanks!

Still waiting for the mentioned e-mail... i will try to register again in a few days

Hi Alexander,

perhaps you should check your junk mail folder, the username and password has been sent right away and I can see you in the list of the users :-) I will send you another e-mail now.

Thanks,
Bruno
