It seems we are unable to currently show a hierarchy tree for processes where related items use links other than associations. I.e. If I link an event to a process with a control flow or object flow, it does not appear in the hierarchy, but if I use an association link I can see it, but lose value on my model. Why is this? Can you make it possible to map all links in the hierarchy and show them by type, with name, if desired?

What's the context here? Are we talking about BPMN, or are you referring to some other "process" entity?

I am talking BPMN. Dragging a process element onto the canvas and linking into that an information or object or event or actor element. Using control or object flow connectors does not give a traceable hierarchy. Using association connectors does.

I wonder if there is some kind of stereotype or other property that needs to be set here. Some of the BPMN elements don't take on certain characteristics unless a property is set; this can make it seem as if these elements are not supported by EA, since they are not individually present in the toolbox.
My suggestion is to do a search of the forum, including BPMN as one of the keywords. This could get you going. Be persistent, since YABB (the forum software) sometimes handles searches a bit literally.
Note that individual posts within a thread may not contain all your keywords, and thus might not register. This is why I said to use BPMN, since the first post of a thread is likely to set the context. You might have to dig a bit though.
If you cannot find anything, and if the Sparx folks don't come through with an answer - remembering that their weekend has started, so give them until Monday down under - then post this as a feature request. You can get to the page from the EA main menu via Help / On-line Resources / Request-a-Feature.
