Title: Bug confirmation request - ActivityParameters
Post by: sargasso on July 25, 2006, 04:11:21 pm
I don't know if this is a bug or whether I have created something incorrectly.  Has anyone seen this behaviour or can anyone comment.

Environment is EA Ver 6.1.789 + local EAP repository on Win2000 + Jet 4.0 + MDAC 2.7.1.9030

I have an activity element in an activity diagram.  It was stereotyped by dragging a profile element onto it.  It has existant control flow links to other activity elements.

Now, I added an ActivityParameter (AP1) to it, created a controlflow link from AP1 back to the Activity.  This displays fine and dandy.  Then I added another ActivityParameter to it (AP2), "shift dragged" the source end of an existing controlflow from the activity to the new AP2.  Still fine.  Finally, I "shift dragged" the target end of the controlflow from another activity back on to the current activity (i.e. another error condition flow).  Now, AP2 has "disappeared"!  It's still there but is invisible.

Any comments?

Bruce,

The diagram you provided appears to be 'clipped' on some (all?) sides. Can you provide an update?

I'm trying to be nice.  Ths full diagram is about 3 screens wide.  The invisible AP is under the cursor.

Well it disappears for me under that build.  (It doesn't in 6.5 as far as I can tell)  Minimum steps is to move the target end of any connector the activity parameter is the source.

However, even with that my results are sporadic.  Most of the time reloading the diagram fixes the problem.  The times when it doesn't, reloading the model reveals that the ActivityParameter no longer belongs to the Activity.  (Look in the tree)  Moving it back under the activity fixes the problem.

Hope that helps.
