Once an element has been changed to composite type, the first diagram generated will always remain the one for it. It becomes impossible to change it even if the element is "uncomposited" and the diagrams are re-ordered.

Although the Sparxians do monitor (and even participate) in these forums you also need to formally report it via the Support link (at the top of this page).
You'll find Bug Report toward the bottom left. We often merely reference the thread via the thread URL to save retyping the information.

You can also reach the bug report page from within EA - using the main menu select Help | On-line Resources | Bug Report Page.

Thanks for the tip, I'll submit the report now :)

There is a work-around but it's not terribly satisfactory: move all child diagrams except the one you want to link to into a temporary package, uncomposite then composite, then move the diagrams back.
-
Thanks for the response, it's a bit clumsy, but I'll live with it until a real solution is implemented. ;)
-
That said, a "real" solution would be quite desirable.
Wyc, you're the originator of the thread. Perhaps you could submit this to the Sparx Request-a-Featre page - you can reach it using the Sparx Web site, or through the EA main menu via Help | On-line Resources.
Perhaps all that is necessary is the ability to right-click one of the child diagrams of an element and "Set as Default" in the context menu. [Or whatever]
Please confirm if you do so, and we (the user community) can provide our votes on whether this matters to us. Sparx will doubtless take the level of response into account.

No probs. I've just sent through the request. but I don't know where people can vote for it?

Right here - and here's mine!
