Title: IDEA: Named User Layouts

I've been playing around with View|Visual Layouts>Custom Layouts....  A very useful feature - particularly where you have a Notebook computer with varying display connections over time.

We've located how to import and export these settings from the Registry (so we can standardise them across a number of machines).  However, it would be REALLY neat if their names could be varied (by the user) to be more meaningful (From user layout 1 to User Layout5) - for example: Dual Head 1400x1050 or another: Monitor Only 2400x1536 and yet again: Panel Only 1440x1050.

I think you'll agree this extends the utility of an already useful feature.

On a related note, the mechanism for determining the default layout is defective.  The last selected layout will always be the default - the tick glyph is ALWAYS on whenever you open the sub-menu. ???

One should be able to select the default layout on the main selection dialog and it should be echoed onto the previous sub-menu (and vice versa).

Yes, please add my vote.

Your second point - default changes on each selection - should be reported as a bug (IMHO).

Done when I reported the original idea.

It would be better for the general user if these settings could also be imported/exported via the Tools|Import/Export Reference Data... menu items.
