From another thread in the General forum,
Re: new project in ea 6.1
You can no longer select which file will be the used as the base model for new projects - it is now always EABase.eap (found in the EA dir). You can replace this file with your preferred base model.

It would be helpful if EABase_JET4.eap were included in the EA full installation package, and selecting
Tools -> Options -> General -> Use JET 4.0
would cause new models to start from EABase_JET4.eap instead of EABase.eap.

Absolutely!
Scott's spot on here... Actually, given the number of years since Jet3.5 was the "default" MS Access technology, the default should be Jet4 and 3.5 be supplied as an alternative.

Oh yes!
More so, since Jet 3.51 is not always present on systems now, nor does it seem to properly set up in some cases - there are ample examples in posts over the past year or so.
Jet 3.51 dates back 10+ years, which exceeds even the extended support periods for MS technologies.
Just my 0.02 CAD on the subject.
